My name is Yishi Deng, and I am a designer, a passionate parent of two cats but mentally and physically ready for adding a dog to the collection, and currently an MFA Design and Technology student at Parsons School of Design. I grew up in Guangzhou, China, lived in San Francisco for four years to pursue my BFA degree in Fashion Design, and finally work my way out to get into my dream school Parsons School of Design in my favorite city, New York.
Coming into the technology industry with a background in fashion is an awesome challenge. I have pushed myself through projects in motion graphics, physical computing, Virtual Reality, and wearable technology. Being late in the game is upsetting, but I will not give up. I have spent (some people might say wasted) my summer holiday to catch up with my peers by taking javascript and unity classes on Udemy. I am currently taking User Experience Techdegree on Treehouse at the same time earning a Nanodegree in VR High-immersion on Udacity.
